Theme Selection

Creativity is the key to a great scrapbook- not only with the photos but with each of the pages themselves. It is important, therefore, to have a scrapbooking tool that will offer loads of themes that can bring out the beauty of each image’s moment even more. Having a pre-designed template for special occasions and events would also help you finish the scrapbooks quickly yet beautifully.

Photo Import

Since images will be the centerpiece of your creation, it’s a must to be able to import from as many platforms as possible. By default, you should be able to import images from your local storage, but it would be even more convenient if you can do so from other imaging software and social media platforms, as it doesn’t have to eat from your storage and you can have a lot more photos to utilize.

Editing Capabilities

While you can always edit your photos with another tool, editing a scrapbook page where you can add or delete stickers, texts, and even music for a more festive presentation is a big plus. A lot of digital scrapbooking sites limit you to a template where you can add photos and nothing else, which is a bit restrictive, in our opinion. A great scrapbook allows for the creator to enjoy the creating process, while impressing the viewers with the final output.

Pricing and Free Trial

There are lots of scrapbooking sites that offer a free trial for their tool so that you can test out what they have to offer- this is favorable to all users so they can check out the package before committing their pockets. Some tools have a one-time cost, while others have a subscription model with a monthly charge. This is where your needs and preference come into play- if you’re only going to make scrapbooks on special occasions, then you may want to purchase the former, but if you will make one periodically, then a subscribing to a scrapbooking editing service may be more advisable.
